Modern Phoenix Mezzo Event
For those of you who were still recovering from Halloween and missed it, the Mezzo party MC’d by O’Companie’s Kevin O’Neill and hosted by Modern Phoenix, Desert Living, and Lisa G’s was incredible!
There was a great mix of Mophos to mingle with, and the information given by architect Will Bruder and builder Construction Zone was awesome.
Bruder talked a lot about the mid-century influences behind Mezzo, like the weeping mortar and open carports.
He discussed the need for other multi-housing projects like Mezzo, those that create community connection and neighborly bonding. He told how the building emerges from the ground and “kisses the sky” with a zero edge…the search for the perfect color of blue/purple for the exterior, and the only piazza surface of its type here in the valley.
Also interesting was the discussion between Bruder and Construction Zone partner Andy Byrnes about the way that the two companies worked together. Typically architect / contractor relationships can be difficult, but both these guys have a mutual respect for each other.
For those of you who have NOT been by the property, YOU MUST!! The prices have been reduced, and these are going to be bought up soon.
I hope Bruder, O’Neill, and CZ can produce future projects this sexy!
