I get really fired up by creative energy… the Nomadic Wonderland Project by designer Eunsuk Hur gets my juices flowing, and well truthfully, makes me jealous that I didn’t come up with the idea. The concept is interchangable fabric pieces that can work together to create custom ensembles and promote sustainable living. These are no ordinary pieces of fabric…they are intricately detailed works of art that combine to create unusually stunning and creative wardrobe masterpieces. Watch it here:

Wine is my favorite beverage, and I LOVE to entertain. To save from mixed glass confusion, wine tags are a great option…but don’t you get sick and tired of the clinking and clanging they make? As you tip your glass to sip, the heavy bauble slides down and smacks your hand, and as you lower your glass back to the table is slams loudly against the bottom of the stem. The Womb Chair is one of my favorite mid-century modern pieces because it is not only sexy, but really, really, comfortable. In 1948, Florence Knoll commissioned Eero Saarinen to design a chair that she could curl up in, and the Womb Chair was born. Sought after by most designers and architects, this chair is molded to envelop the sitter and offers them a comfortable sense of security. The Womb Chair is constructed of a fiberglass shell that is then covered in foam and upholstered. The base is made from steel rods that come in either a polished chrome or black finish, and it is offered in a variety of fabrics and colors, including leather. The chair and ottoman are now available in three sizes, the original, a version that is 85% smaller than the original, and a child’s size. MODERN SWEETS - PF Chang’s Mini Desserts….Pure Genius!

while at dinner at my wisconsin dad’s favorite scottsdale restaurant…PF Changs, i was TRYING to be GOOD…and eat healthy. after the meal (which i ordered the sauce on the side) and a glass of wine, the waitress brought out this amazing selection of desserts. the key was, that each one was served in a large shot glass and only cost $2! oh, and there was every possible flavor imaginable. how can we translate this to design business (was my thought…) in today’s economy, and with todays health conscience crowd, what a brilliant idea!!! each shot (which is all the palette needs…) is only 150 Calories! 2g Fat! 5g Saturated Fat! 26g Carbs! 130mg Sodium! go there for a glass of wine and one of these brilliant sweets.

Okay, so you all know how OBSESSED I am with AZ and all it has to offer, so this may be a little bias, but I LOVE OLD TOWN!! While yes, it has this reputation for honoring Jonny Scottsdale, the $30K millionaire, and well… the Scottsdale Chick, it is beautiful in its possession of art and culture. YES I said CULTURE! I think many of us need to revisit and approach with a different perspective. Dont come here looking to be turned off by the girl in the fake eyelashes and way too short skirt, enter from the standpoint of being a cultural observer… I mean, see what the local businesses and city government have done to make the downtown Scottsdale area what it is… The West’s Most Western Town. and…be proud!
